Are you a crafter looking for a quick and creative DIY fabric flowers project? These easy DIY fabric flowers take just 10 minutes to make and are perfect for home decor, gifts, or holiday celebrations. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to make beautiful, no-sew DIY fabric flowers with simple materials.

    Supplies

    • Fabric of your choice (patriotic red, white, and blue work great!)
    • Fabric scissors for precise cutting
    • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
    • Buttons or embellishments for the flower center
    • Wooden sticks (such as skewers or craft dowels)
    • Vase, pail, or decorative container
    • Floral foam to hold the flowers in place

    Instructions

    1. Gather a piece of heavier fabric and a mason jar lid (or another round object).
    2. Use the lid to trace circles onto the fabric, then cut them out. The circles don’t need to be perfect, as any imperfections will be hidden when assembling the flower.
    3. Fold each fabric circle in half, then fold it in half again to create a wedge shape. Use a needle and embroidery thread that matches your fabric to sew along the bottom edge of the wedge. Leave a small tail of thread at the start and end to help cinch the petals together.
    4. Repeat the process for all your fabric circles, making sure each petal is symmetrical. Pull the thread gently to bunch the fabric petals together into a flower shape.Tie the thread securely in a knot and trim any excess. Adjust the petals so they are evenly spaced and well-shaped.
    5. Hot glue a decorative button, gem, or bead to the center for a polished look. To cover the back, glue a small fabric circle over the gathered section.
    6. Finally, hot glue a wooden skewer or craft dowel to the back of the flower to create a stem. Once you have made the amount of flowers you want, you can arrange them in floral foam into a pail.
